Hilton announced on 6 October 2026 that it had signed agreements with Bengaluru-based Kalyani Group for Conrad Bengaluru Airport and Hilton Bengaluru Airport, a combined 600-room development expected to open in 2030. The hotels will occupy a single complex at KIADB Hi-Tech Defence and Aerospace Park.
The agreement adds to Hilton’s development plans in Bengaluru, which the company identifies as its largest Indian market by number of hotels. Hilton said the signing would bring a second Conrad and a fourth Hilton-branded hotel to the city, while extending a relationship with Kalyani Group that includes DoubleTree by Hilton Bengaluru Whitefield.
Airport complex targets accommodation and events demand
Each hotel is planned to have 300 guest rooms, alongside dining outlets, meeting and event facilities and wellness amenities. The site is approximately 20 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport, with Hilton intending the properties to serve both business and leisure travellers.
The complex will include over 72,000 square feet of event space. Hilton said that capacity was intended to meet rising demand for large conferences, corporate gatherings and social occasions, making events business a substantial part of the development’s planned offering alongside accommodation.
According to Hilton, the defence and aerospace park is becoming a centre for domestic and international commercial, technology, aerospace and business activity. The company linked that development to growth in India’s aviation sector.
Kalyani partnership expands beyond Whitefield
The latest signing follows the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Bengaluru Whitefield in 2024. Mohan Raju, managing director of Kalyani Developers, said the new agreement reflected confidence in Hilton’s brands and its long-term plans for Bengaluru.
Raju described the airport project as a further step in expanding the developer’s hospitality presence in the city following the Whitefield opening. Kalyani Developers directors Priyanka M Raju and Rohan M Raju said the scheme would combine a full-service hotel brand and a luxury brand at the same destination.
Bengaluru remains central to Hilton’s India plans
Alan Watts, Hilton’s president for Asia Pacific, placed the agreement within the company’s ambition to exceed 400 hotels in India over the next decade. He said Bengaluru would remain a priority for expansion and that the signing demonstrated Hilton’s long-term confidence in the market.
Conrad currently operates in Bengaluru and Pune, with Conrad Jaipur also in development. The airport signing therefore expands the luxury brand’s planned presence in a city where it already welcomes guests.
Hilton Hotels & Resorts has eight properties in India, including locations in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Gurugram, Jaipur and Goa, according to the company. Another 11 are under development nationwide, with the newly signed Bengaluru airport complex scheduled to welcome guests in 2030.
