Häagen-Dazs Shops marks 50 years with Supermoon dessert collaboration

The franchised ice cream chain will offer a limited-edition dessert at 10 New York City shops, with an anniversary promotion at its original Brooklyn location.

Online Franchise Chronicle · 10/13/2026

Häagen-Dazs Shops will launch a dessert developed with New York’s Supermoon Bakehouse at 10 locations across Brooklyn and Manhattan from October 15 through October 25, 2026. The limited-time collaboration marks 50 years since the ice cream chain opened its original shop on Montague Street in Brooklyn in 1976.

Announced on October 13, 2026, the Ube, Vanilla & Cornflake Cookie Dazzler combines Häagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice Cream with toppings drawn from Supermoon’s bakery range. The launch is restricted to the participating New York shops and is subject to supplies lasting.

Bakery flavours added to a Dazzler sundae

The dessert layers Vanilla Ice Cream with Ube Glaze, crumbled Honey Roasted Cornflake, Macadamia & White Chocolate Cookie, and Honey Joy Cluster. Whipped cream, further Honey Joy Cluster and Ube Glaze complete the sundae.

Häagen-Dazs said vanilla was among its original flavours, making it the foundation for a product intended to connect the anniversary with a new bakery collaboration. Supermoon’s contribution brings its own cookie, glaze and cluster components to the chain’s established Dazzler format.

Adam Hanson, president of Häagen-Dazs Shops, said the partnership was chosen to celebrate the anniversary of the Montague Street opening. He described Supermoon’s role as adding a different interpretation to an existing Häagen-Dazs dessert.

Original Brooklyn shop hosts launch promotion

The first 50 guests in line at the Montague Street shop on October 15 will receive $0.50 Dazzlers, $50 gift cards and additional anniversary gifts, according to the company. That promotion centres the launch on the location where the shop business began.

Brooklyn availability covers Montague Street and Henry Street, Smith Street and Warren Street, and 7th Avenue and President Street. In Manhattan, participating shops include W 113th and Broadway, W 37th Street and 6th Avenue, and Westfield World Trade Center.

The remaining Manhattan locations are 7th Avenue and W 30th Street, Amsterdam Avenue and 72nd, 2nd Avenue and E 69th Street, and 7th Avenue and 14th Street. The company lists the same October 15 through October 25 availability period across the participating shops.

Local campaign within a franchised network

Häagen-Dazs Shops reports 200+ franchised shops across the country, selling products including scoops, Dazzler sundaes, shakes and smoothies. The anniversary product is therefore a geographically limited offer within that wider franchise network, rather than a nationwide menu introduction.

Supermoon Bakehouse was founded by Aron Tzimas in 2017 on New York City’s Lower East Side. Its range includes croissants, cruffins, Danishes, doughnuts, eclairs, ice cream sandwiches and gelato.

Tzimas said the collaboration combined familiar Häagen-Dazs vanilla with Supermoon’s signature flavours to link nostalgia with a new dessert. For participating operators, the announced activity pairs a short-run menu addition with the chain’s anniversary campaign, while the original Brooklyn shop also hosts the launch-day gift promotion.
