The 429-room adults-only resort is scheduled to join Curio Collection on October 31, 2026, marking Hilton’s first partnership with Fuerte Group Hotels.

Hilton and Fuerte Group Hotels have announced plans to convert a beachfront property in Cancún, Mexico, into Amàre Cancun Adults Only All-Inclusive Resort, Curio by Hilton. The 429-room resort is scheduled to open under the brand on October 31, 2026, with Fuerte Group Hotels as both owner and operator.

The agreement establishes a relationship between the companies and adds to Hilton’s all-inclusive portfolio in Mexico. Hilton said the signing also supports the regional expansion of Curio Collection, which has 25 properties operating across the Caribbean and Latin America and plans to double that presence in the years ahead.

Rooms, dining and event facilities

The resort occupies a beachfront site on Boulevard Kukulcan, 24 kilometres from Cancun International Airport. According to Hilton, the property sits within a protected bay where natural currents help preserve the beach and keep the water clear for most of the year.

Its 429 guest rooms and suites will be spread between a 20-storey main tower and an adjacent six-storey building, each with a rooftop pool. Hilton said every room would have an ocean view, with interiors drawing on Mediterranean design.

The facilities will include three outdoor pools, nine restaurants, nine bars and a coffee shop. Meeting space will total nearly 10,000 square feet (926 square metres), including a 7,600-square-foot ballroom.

Wellness facilities will comprise a fitness centre, a spa with nine treatment rooms, and a hair and nail salon with a bridal suite. Planned activities include Mediterranean-influenced wellness sessions, sunrise and golden-hour rituals, and entertainment involving resident DJs and live performers.

Hilton also outlined rotating exhibitions featuring contemporary Mexican and Latin American artists. Dining concepts developed with Michelin-starred chefs will combine Mediterranean techniques with Mexican ingredients and flavours from Latin America, the company said.

Mexico within Hilton’s regional expansion

Hilton operates more than 100 hotels in Mexico and has nearly 50 further properties in development. Across the Caribbean and Latin America, its operating portfolio exceeds 300 hotels in 35 countries and territories, with another 150 properties in the pipeline.

The company’s luxury and lifestyle business in the region comprises more than 100 hotels, alongside an alliance with Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Hilton said that segment also has 50 additional projects in development.

Pablo Maturana, Hilton’s vice president for development, architecture, design and construction in the Caribbean and Latin America, linked the agreement to the company’s focus on resort destinations with strong demand. Fuerte Group Hotels chief executive Javier Luque said the project would combine Mexican influences with Mediterranean-inspired design, food and wellness experiences.

Brand integration ahead of opening

Before entering Curio Collection, the resort will undergo work to meet brand requirements, including improvements to selected public areas and its food and beverage offering. The property will also participate in Hilton Honors.

Bookings through Hilton’s channels are expected to become available this summer. The company said further information would follow nearer the planned opening.
