Hilton signs three lifestyle hotels in Thailand and the Maldives

The agreements bring Curio Collection to Phuket and Tapestry Collection to Chiang Mai and the Maldives, supporting Hilton’s ambition to exceed 250 luxury and lifestyle hotels across Asia Pacific.

Hilton announced three lifestyle hotel signings in Thailand and the Maldives on 30 July 2026, securing new destinations for its Curio Collection and Tapestry Collection brands. The agreements cover a Curio Collection resort in Phuket and Tapestry Collection properties in Chiang Mai and the Maldives, with the Phuket opening scheduled for the end of 2026.

The additions support Hilton’s ambition to surpass 250 luxury and lifestyle properties across Asia Pacific. The company also plans to more than double its portfolio in those segments in South East Asia, citing growing demand for stays shaped by local experiences and continued confidence from hotel owners.

Curio Collection secures Phuket debut

Andamanda Voyage, Curio Collection by Hilton will have 246 keys and sit within the Andamanda Waterpark complex in Phuket’s Kathu District. Scheduled to open at the end of 2026, it will be the brand’s first property on the island.

The resort will give guests direct access to the complex’s retail and dining village, with Central Phuket’s shopping centres nearby. Hilton also highlighted access to Phuket Old Town, Patong and Karon as part of the property’s location offering.

Curio Collection has over 200 properties globally, according to Hilton. Andamanda Voyage will expand the company’s Phuket presence alongside The Rawai Phuket, an LXR Hotels & Resorts property planned for 2027 on the island’s southern tip.

Tapestry Collection adds cultural and island locations

In Chiang Mai, Hilton has signed the city’s first Tapestry Collection hotel, a 65-room property in the Old Town. It will occupy a heritage building reflecting Northern Thai architecture, close to temples, weekend walking streets and local markets.

The Chiang Mai hotel will join more than 200 Tapestry Collection properties worldwide. Hilton positions the collection around individual hotel identities, with design and food and beverage offerings drawing on their locations.

Coco de Mer Maldives, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is scheduled to open in June 2027 as the brand’s first property in the country. The 75-key resort will be 25 minutes by speedboat from Malé, providing access from Velana International Airport.

Planned facilities include dining venues, a wellness centre, a sea sports centre and pickleball courts. Hilton said the resort would combine premium experiences with greater accessibility.

Owner interest supports regional pipeline

Maria Ariizumi, Hilton’s vice president, development, South East Asia, said owner interest in lifestyle brands remained strong, supported by market fundamentals and changing traveller demand. She said the agreements would broaden Hilton’s presence in resort and cultural destinations through work with local partners.

For the properties, brand affiliation also brings participation in Hilton Honors. Guests booking directly through Hilton’s preferred channels can receive member discounts, complimentary standard Wi-Fi and access to digital services including check-in, room selection and Digital Key.

The Thailand signings follow the recent opening of Kahavadi Chiang Rai, Curio Collection by Hilton. Hilton’s next scheduled lifestyle additions in the country also include Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit and Nivata Koh Samui, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, both due to debut this year.
