Hilton announced the opening of Slohh by Roach Bengaluru, Curio Collection by Hilton, on 13 July 2026, introducing the brand to India and South Asia. The 221-key property in Whitefield also marks the company’s first lifestyle hotel in India.
Developed in partnership with Bengaluru-based real estate company Roach Lifescapes, the hotel sits in one of the city’s principal business and technology districts. Hilton said the opening broadens its Indian portfolio to address growing demand for stays built around distinctive design and local experiences.
Zubin Saxena, Hilton’s senior vice president and regional head, South Asia, said Bengaluru remained a key market because of its business base and changing travel demand. He described the opening as part of the company’s effort to introduce global brands to India while adapting them to the local market.
Rooms and events capacity in Whitefield
The hotel has seven categories of rooms and suites, with many offering balconies facing Varthur Lake or the city skyline. Its suites, including the Malnad Presidential Suite, have separate living and dining areas influenced by plantation homes.
Alongside accommodation, the property provides facilities for corporate gatherings and weddings. The Banyan, a pillarless ballroom measuring 5,000 square feet, can accommodate up to 600 guests and is supported by a 3,000 square foot pre-function area.
Additional event facilities include meeting rooms, a boardroom, a bridal suite and a beauty salon. The wellness offer comprises a temperature-controlled outdoor pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, a hammam and a full-service spa, according to Hilton.
Malnad influences shape the hotel
The property’s architecture and interiors draw on the coffee estates and homes of the Malnad region in the Western Ghats. Hilton said pitched roofs, natural materials and carved details are combined with colours reflecting different stages in a coffee bean’s life cycle.
“Each Curio Collection property is selected for its individual character and sense of place,” said Tal Shefer, senior vice president, Brand Management, Asia Pacific, Hilton. He said the Bengaluru hotel reflected that approach through its design, food offer and locally influenced guest activities.
Nana’s, the all-day restaurant, serves dishes drawing on Karnataka and Malnad family recipes and seasonal cooking, alongside food from elsewhere in India and international dishes. An Executive Club Lounge is intended for both hotel residents and non-resident guests.
The guest programme includes a Potter-in-Residence studio and Grandma’s Recipe, a culinary initiative incorporating family traditions and personal stories. Music in the social spaces centres on jazz, rhythm and blues, and older classics.
Local partnership and Hilton loyalty access
Christina Roach, founder of Roach Lifescapes, said the concept grew from her family’s experience of hospitality at home, particularly the role of food in bringing people together. She said the partnership with Hilton translated that approach into an urban hotel through design, dining and personal service.
The property participates in Hilton Honors. Members booking through Hilton’s preferred direct channels can access benefits including points-and-money payment options, member discounts and complimentary standard Wi-Fi, while the programme’s app provides digital check-in, room selection and Digital Key.
