Hilton has opened reservations for Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur ahead of its scheduled opening on 30 October 2026, marking the luxury brand’s entry into Malaysia. The 268-suite hotel will be located in the capital’s Golden Triangle district, near Bukit Bintang, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and the Petronas Twin Towers.
The opening will introduce an all-suite accommodation offering alongside restaurants, wellness facilities and event spaces. Hilton said the property is designed to serve both short and extended stays, while also hosting dining, celebrations and social gatherings.
All-suite format in the Golden Triangle
Accommodation will range from 80 square metre one-bedroom suites to the 745 square metre Waldorf Astoria Suite. According to Hilton, the suites will have substantial living areas and floor-to-ceiling views across Kuala Lumpur’s skyline and surrounding cityscape.
The company said the hotel’s design combines contemporary interiors with Malaysian heritage and elements of the Waldorf Astoria identity. Its service approach will draw on Layan Tetamu, which Hilton describes as a Malaysian hospitality philosophy centred on sincerity, intuition and personalised attention.
For hotel operators and industry readers, the announced facilities show that the property’s offering extends beyond accommodation. Alongside suites intended for different lengths of stay, the plans include spaces for weddings, festive events and other social occasions.
Chef partnerships and wellness facilities
Dining plans include collaborations with chefs Garima Arora and Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Hilton said the food and beverage offering would span destination restaurants and smaller social settings, with individual concepts intended to have distinct identities.
The wellness provision will centre on the Waldorf Astoria Spa and a separate wellness centre. The company said these facilities would offer personalised treatments, advanced therapies and areas dedicated to movement and recovery.
Event spaces form another part of the planned operation, with facilities intended for gatherings and larger celebrations. Hilton is positioning these alongside the restaurants and wellness amenities as components of the hotel’s broader offer, rather than focusing solely on overnight stays.
Opening offer accompanies reservations launch
General manager Etienne Dalançon described the project as the return of an existing address in a new form for travellers. He said: “We look forward to welcoming our first guests as the hotel begins to come to life.”
Bookings are available through the hotel’s website, with an introductory package called Waldorf Astoria Indulgence Escape. The offer includes breakfast and 15,000 Hilton Honors Points for members, subject to a minimum two-night stay.
Hilton said further details of the hotel’s culinary, wellness and social experiences would be released over the coming months. Those announcements will precede the property’s scheduled October opening.
