The first three Estate Homes have been delivered at the Costa Rican development, with more than half of the 22 properties sold and the final 10 now on sale.

Waldorf Astoria Residences Costa Rica Punta Cacique has completed and handed over its first three cliffside Estate Homes in Guanacaste, Hilton announced on 21 July 2026. Sales are now underway for the final 10 homes in the 22-property collection, with more than half already sold.

The residences sit within the 600-acre Punta Cacique master-planned community and are priced from mid-$7 million to $11.75 million, according to the announcement. They join recently opened condominiums that the company said have sold out.

The ownership offer links the residential development to the neighbouring Waldorf Astoria resort through amenity access, concierge services and an optional rental programme operated by Hilton. Buyers also receive Hilton Honors Diamond status for the duration of their ownership.

Final homes released for sale

The fully furnished four- and five-bedroom homes have interiors ranging from 4,444 to 5,736 square feet, with total living areas reaching up to 11,027 square feet. Each includes terraces, a private pool and an elevator, while selected properties have dual ocean-view pools.

GarnierArquitectos, RoblesArq and EDSA are among the firms involved in the design of the homes, which overlook Playa Penca and the Gulf of Papagayo. The two-level and three-level properties follow the contours of the bluff and incorporate local natural materials and native landscaping.

The homes include outdoor kitchens and entertaining areas, alongside Cucine Lube kitchens with quartzite worktops. Primary suites open onto private terraces, with marble finishes and Apaiser baths in their bathrooms.

The Ardila Costello Team at Compass, led by Andy Ardila and David Costello, is the exclusive sales and marketing partner. Ardila described the final release as an opportunity to buy during the early stages of the wider Guanacaste development.

Resort access and Hilton-managed rentals

Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique opened in April 2025 as the brand’s first hotel in the country. Estate Home owners receive 24/7 personal concierge service and full access to the resort’s amenities, Hilton said.

Those facilities include six dining venues, a 10,000-square-foot meeting space and a 17,000-square-foot spa and wellness facility. Owners also have access to Playa Penca, fitness and movement facilities, an outdoor yoga pavilion, lap and thermal pools, a private beach club, and clubs for children and teenagers.

Participation in the fully managed rental programme is optional. Hilton said it would professionally operate the programme, adding a hospitality management component to the residential ownership offer.

Further phases planned at Punta Cacique

Punta Cacique is being developed by Revolution Places, whose chairman and chief executive, AOL co-founder Steve Case, acquired the Cacique Peninsula in 2006. Case said the project’s aim extended beyond building a resort or selling homes to establishing a community.

The wider development is planned in multiple phases comprising resorts, residences and wellness amenities. Future additions outlined in the announcement include a working farm, an equestrian centre and a commercial village featuring locally selected businesses.
