Wingstop adds SOUR PATCH KIDS glaze for Halloween promotion

Wingstop will introduce a limited-time SOUR PATCH KIDS glaze nationwide on October 27, with loyalty members offered early access from October 23.

Online Franchise Chronicle · 10/13/2026

Wingstop is adding a SOUR PATCH KIDS-branded glaze to its menu for Halloween, with nationwide availability scheduled from October 27 through November 5 at participating restaurants. Announced by Mondelēz International on October 13, 2026, the collaboration forms part of the candy brand’s 13 Days of Mischief campaign.

Club Wingstop loyalty members will have access to the limited-time flavour from October 23, ahead of the wider launch. Called SOUR PATCH KIDS Wicked Punch, the glaze will be available to order across all proteins at participating Wingstop restaurants.

Candy collaboration extends to Wingstop’s menu

Wingstop’s flavour development team created the REDBERRY-flavoured glaze, which combines a sour-to-sweet taste with a topping of SOUR PATCH KIDS Bitz. The restaurant promotion takes the candy brand’s Halloween campaign beyond packaged confectionery and social media into a limited-time menu offer.

For participating operators, the announced timetable separates loyalty-member access from the nationwide menu window. The release does not provide pricing for the Wingstop offer or identify participating locations.

Social campaign begins ahead of restaurant launch

SOUR PATCH KIDS will begin its 13 Days of Mischief activity on October 19, encouraging followers to take part in playful pranks in the run-up to Halloween. The brand says each day will introduce another suggested activity, including jump scares.

The campaign will draw on the brand’s 1+ million Instagram followers, with consumers also directed to its TikTok account. The Wingstop collaboration is presented as the restaurant component of this broader promotional programme.

Lauryn McDonough, senior director, candy at Mondelēz International, said the campaign was intended to turn the brand’s mischievous positioning into consumer activity. “Halloween is about stepping outside the ordinary,” she said.

Seasonal confectionery supports wider promotion

Alongside the Wingstop launch, SOUR PATCH KIDS is promoting seasonal packaged products. Monster Parts features monster-inspired shapes in Black Raspberry, Orange and Watermelon flavours, sold in an 8.88 oz. bag with a suggested retail price of $4.29.

Tricksters candies are designed to taste different from the flavours their appearance might suggest. They are available in a 3.52 oz. theatre box with a suggested retail price of $1.50.

Glow Ups Ghosts combines Orange and Peach flavours with edible confetti that glows under blacklight because of turmeric extract. The 8.37 oz. pack has a suggested retail price of $4.29, while Treat Size Packs start at a suggested $4.29; Mondelēz notes that these prices are recommendations only.
