Hilton highlights Smokies hotels in autumn travel spotlight

Hilton’s seasonal destination guide links properties in Tennessee and North Carolina with national park access, cultural attractions and outdoor activities.

Online Franchise Chronicle · 9/18/2026

Hilton has highlighted accommodation in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Asheville in an autumn destination guide published on 18 September 2026. The company’s newsroom feature pairs properties in Tennessee and North Carolina with mountain scenery, seasonal events and local cultural attractions.

The guide features Embassy Suites resorts, Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park, The Radical Asheville, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and AutoCamp Asheville. For operators, its focus is on how property amenities and local experiences are presented together, from family-oriented suites and evening receptions to art collections and riverside activities.

Embassy Suites anchors Tennessee recommendations

Hilton identifies Gatlinburg as a base for visiting Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which it describes as America’s most visited national park. Its Tennessee accommodation recommendations are Embassy Suites by Hilton Gatlinburg Resort and Embassy Suites by Hilton Pigeon Forge Resort.

According to the company, both resorts provide two-room suites, a pool and complimentary breakfast each morning. They also offer an evening reception with drinks and appetisers at no additional charge, an amenity Hilton presents as relevant to business travellers looking for an informal setting to socialise.

The surrounding attractions highlighted in the guide include hiking routes at Chimney Tops and Alum Cave, along with Grotto Falls and Laurel Falls. Hilton also points to mountain coasters, zip lines and a glass-bottom suspension bridge as alternatives to walking trails.

Seasonal events form another part of the destination’s appeal in the company’s account. The annual Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival brings live music and food to Gatlinburg, alongside autumn decorations in the downtown area.

Asheville properties link city access with design

In North Carolina, Hilton’s recommendations combine access to mountain landscapes with Asheville’s restaurants, breweries and arts attractions. The company highlights drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway, walks in Pisgah National Forest and at Mount Mitchell, and visits to the Biltmore Estate’s 8,000 acres.

Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park is in a walkable community south of the city, with an indoor pool and spa among its amenities. The guide positions it as an option for travellers seeking access to both Asheville and the surrounding mountain area.

The Radical Asheville, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, has a different emphasis, with more than 200 curated artworks, including murals in guest rooms. Located in the River Arts District, the boutique hotel occupies a converted 1920s warehouse and incorporates the building’s graffiti into its design, according to Hilton.

AutoCamp adds a riverside option

The guide also includes AutoCamp Asheville on the French Broad River as a nature-focused accommodation choice. Hilton lists on-site yoga, riverside music and locally led brewery tours among the experiences available there.

Those activities extend the guide’s emphasis beyond accommodation facilities to experiences associated with each destination. Across the Asheville recommendations, Hilton links stays with the city’s live music, historic studios, street art and farm-to-table restaurants, alongside access to the surrounding mountains.
