CertaPro Painters has appointed Teresa Celmer as chief marketing officer and Sydney Davis as chief information officer, adding executive leadership in areas it has identified as priorities for franchise support. The residential and commercial painting franchise announced the appointments in Audubon, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 13, 2026.
Celmer will lead marketing strategy, while Davis will oversee technology infrastructure and business applications. The company said the appointments are intended to strengthen support for franchise owners and improve the customer experience, with both executives joining its leadership team.
Marketing brief connects national strategy with local owners
Celmer brings more than 25 years of marketing leadership experience, including work with BrightStar Care, Ace Hardware, Bosch and Fellowes Brands. Her remit at CertaPro Painters covers brand growth, customer experience and franchise success.
The company highlighted her experience in franchise and multi-location businesses as relevant to connecting national marketing initiatives with local franchise owners’ needs. That connection is a stated focus of her role, placing franchise-level requirements alongside the wider brand’s marketing strategy.
Technology role focuses on operational efficiency
Davis joins with more than 20 years of technology leadership experience. Her background includes digital transformation, enterprise system implementation and major integrations across complex organisations.
As chief information officer, she is responsible for the infrastructure and business applications that support the company’s operations. CertaPro Painters said her focus would be on solutions designed to simplify operations, improve efficiency and equip franchise owners and their teams to run their businesses more effectively.
The announcement sets out the objectives for the technology role rather than identifying a particular system rollout. It does not specify new platforms, implementation dates or investment amounts for either executive’s area of responsibility.
Leadership investment supports an established franchise network
Mike Stone, president and chief executive of CertaPro Painters, linked the appointments to a desire to change how the business operates. “We're not investing in talent just to maintain what we've built,” he said, describing the hires as a means of bringing new perspectives and experience to the company.
CertaPro Painters said its approach to growth extends beyond adding franchise locations to include improvements in operations, owner support and customer service. Marketing and technology remain priorities within that approach, with Celmer and Davis now leading those functions.
Founded in 1991 and franchised in 1992, CertaPro Painters provides residential and commercial painting services through more than 425 franchise territories. For those owners, the stated relevance of the appointments is practical: closer alignment between national marketing and local needs, alongside technology intended to make day-to-day operations more efficient.
