Hilton said on 15 July that 22 of its hotels and resorts across five brands had been recognised in Travel + Leisure’s 2026 World’s Best Awards. The global results included three No. 1 city rankings for Waldorf Astoria properties and a No. 3 position for LXR Hotels & Resorts among the world’s best hotel brands.
The company said its representation on the awards platform was its largest yet across hotels, resorts and brands. Recognised properties spanned Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Curio Collection by Hilton.
LXR and Waldorf Astoria both featured among the Top 25 Best Hotel Brands in the World, with Waldorf Astoria ranked No. 22. Hilton described LXR as comprising 40 operating and pipeline properties, while Waldorf Astoria’s portfolio consists of 40 properties.
Waldorf Astoria takes three city-category wins
Waldorf Astoria accounted for 13 of the recognised properties. Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas, Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead and The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel each placed No. 1 in their respective city hotel categories.
Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi ranked No. 8 among the Top 100 Hotels in the World and No. 5 among the Best Resorts in Asia. Waldorf Astoria Chicago placed No. 2 in Chicago, while Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem ranked No. 4 among hotels in North Africa and the Middle East.
The company also highlighted award debuts for recently opened Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique and Waldorf Astoria New York. The Costa Rica resort placed No. 8 among the Best Resorts in Central America, while the New York property ranked No. 6 in its city category.
Other Waldorf Astoria results included No. 5 positions for Rome Cavalieri in Rome, Los Cabos Pedregal among Mexican resorts and Park City among Utah resorts. The brand’s Washington, D.C. hotel and Orlando resort each ranked No. 7 in their respective categories.
Recognition extends across Hilton’s other brands
Conrad’s city hotels featured across several markets: Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus ranked No. 3 in Istanbul, Conrad Dublin No. 4 in Dublin and Conrad Tokyo No. 5 in Tokyo. Conrad Los Angeles placed No. 6 among the 10 Best Hotels in Greater Los Angeles.
Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya and Conrad Punta de Mita also appeared among the 25 Best Resorts in Mexico, at No. 13 and No. 15 respectively. Crockfords Las Vegas, LXR Hotels & Resorts ranked No. 9 among hotels in Las Vegas.
Beyond those luxury brands, Hilton Beachfront Resort and Spa Hilton Head Island placed No. 10 among the Best Resorts in South Carolina. The Art Hotel Denver, Curio Collection by Hilton ranked No. 2 among Denver hotels.
Mark Weinstein, Hilton’s chief marketing officer and head of luxury brands, attributed the results to the work of hotel teams and highlighted the brand-level recognition. “There's no greater endorsement than the voice of the traveler,” he said.
Reader survey measures service, facilities and value
For operators, the awards reflect guest assessments across rooms and facilities, location, service, food and value. According to Hilton, more than 207,000 Travel + Leisure readers completed the 2026 survey, casting more than 661,000 votes across hotels and other travel categories.
Hotels were grouped by location and amenities, with final scores calculated from average respondent ratings. The results and methodology are available on Travel + Leisure’s website, and the awards will also appear in the magazine’s August print issue.
